Seabourn Venture Launches Her First Season to Remember

On July 27, the first of our two new ultra-luxury expedition ships entered service and welcomed her first guests on board for a 12-day Northern Isles expedition, departing Tromsø, Norway and bound for the Arctic and the Svalbard Archipelago, one of the world’s northernmost inhabited areas and home to wildlife from puffins to polar bears. It was a joyous occasion for all.

“The maiden sailing was everything we had hoped Seabourn Venture would deliver, incredible onboard ultra-luxury, while exploring the most remote Arctic regions on a ship built and designed for serious exploration. As we have said on many occasions, Seabourn Venture is a true ultra-luxury purpose-built expedition vessel with no compromise.” - Robin West – Vice President & General Manager, Expeditions

Enthusiastic guests on the voyage enjoyed a total of:

  • 10 kilograms of caviar
  • 600 cups of delicious hot chocolate
  • 300 bottles of Champagne
  • 2,500 coffees

Seabourn Venture’s Expeditions
Invite guests to join Seabourn Venture as she continues her maiden season adventures with a series of 12- to 15-day voyages exploring the Arctic, Greenland and Iceland, and the Canadian Arctic Archipelago in Nunavut, the most remote and least-populated destinations explored during Seabourn Venture’s Arctic season. The ship will then make its way south in October 2022, stopping at various locales in the Caribbean, Central America, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Chile on a series of 10- to 14-day voyages. Between November 2022 and February 2023, Seabourn Venture will begin her first season in Antarctica sailing 11- to 22-day voyages to “The Great White Continent” offering up-close encounters with untamed wilderness and wildlife including bobbing icebergs, waddling penguin colonies, and feisty fur seals, as well as visits to research stations that have footholds on the continent. In March and April 2023, Seabourn Venture will then embark on a series of 7- to 12-day expedition voyages in Brazil and the Amazon.

In May 2023, she will embark on two new itineraries. On May 12, 2023, the ship will sail from Greenwich to Edinburgh on the 12-Day Lands of the Celts exploring the United Kingdom before continuing her northern trek for 11 days sailing from Edinburgh to Reykjavík on May 24, 2023. Enjoy both sailings on the 23-Day Celtic Isles to Iceland voyage. From there, starting June 4, 2023, Seabourn Venture will be operating the originally planned deployment for Seabourn Pursuit. She will meander through the Arctic with a heavy focus on Iceland and Greenland before taking the iconic trek across the Northwest Passage in late August. From there she will head down the West Coast of the Americas before reaching Antarctica for the season, operating between October 2023 and February 2024. In late February 2024 she will make a once-in-a-lifetime crossing of the Atlantic encompassing the Falkland Islands, South Georgia, St. Helena, and Ascension Island. In March and April, the ship will take two sailings up the West Coast of Africa and Europe to be in position for the 2024 Arctic season.
